On 4 Mar the Guardian reported that Lord Sugar, whose media image seems to be modelled on a gruff bearded gnome, is about to be appointed as the new Chairman of YouView.
Does this mean we can expect Amstrad to make the YouView set top boxes - Lord help us. If you have tried an Amstrad product you'll know what the problem is - they're not exactly built to last. With this move YouView run the risk of killing the golden goose even before it has been launched.
