The Iranians are looking for an excuse not to attend the 2012 Olympics. But no one could predict quite how they would engineer their exit. Yesterday they told the ICC they would not attend the Games unless the logo is changed. They claim the logo spells "Zion" ie a deliberate reference to Israel!
The 2012 logo is not great but at least it isn't as bad as the logo for the Brazilian Institute of Oriental Studies, which has just won the Phallic Logo of 2010.
